A little Downy Woodpecker is a frequent visitor to our birdfeeders.

We put food out hoping to attract Woodpeckers, Cardinals, and Goldfinches but the Sparrows and Starlings are hungry too. The Downy holds his own but it is a struggle.

For more private dining he oftens visits the loaf of bread we hang out on a wire.

You have a potential bird park in the works. Great job!

I hope more birds will soon join the fray and by the way, that's a huge loaf that you hung up for the birds :)
