We spent the weekend in Chicago visiting Grandbabies

Susan's son Mark and his wife Elena live in Lombard, IL, just East of downtown Chicago. We flew up for the weekend to see them and to enjoy our granddaughters Fiona (4 years) and Moire (19 months). No special occasion, just a grandbaby run. We got to see the most recent dance steps, and the latest Halloween costumes. They are growing up very fast.

Angels with saggy wings.

Fiona was a flashy cat. She looked better with whiskers.

I am NOT sleepy. I do NOT need a nap!

After Sunday lunch we went down town just for the drive

We drove East on Eisenhower Expressway. The tall black building is the Sears Tower.

The Expressway goes under the Post Office.

The tunnel also drives under the Chicago Stock Exchange

The Chicago Public Library.

The modern sculpture at Centennial Park

The Entrance to the Navy Pier.

On Navy Pier Looking West at the City.

Driving North on Lakeshore Blvd. Starting to get dark.

South on Michigan Avenue. Christmas lights starting to twinkle.

The Old Water Tower. One of the very few buildings to survive the Chicago Fire of 1871.

You've got beautiful grandchildren!

They must take after you :)

Appreciate your pictures of an evening drive downtown. Traffic seems kinda heavy, but it's okay compared to here in Singapore where its crazy. Drivers in Singapore do not have good driving manners when they're on the road.

Unfortunately, its worse in Malaysia where I hear that most of the time, three cars share two lanes!
